Review: I must first recommend seeing this movie immediately. My review
is fairly critical, due to the high expectations I had, but there
is no excuse for not seeing this movie. So go now! That said, if you’ve
seen the movie, you may read my humble opinions of this film.
I have to say, this movie didn’t really stand a chance against
the first one. I went to see the first Matrix completely unprepared,
I barely knew what it was about…and you just can’t beat
the element of surprise. So when I went to see Reloaded, I’m
afraid I had some pretty high expectations, and I’m sure I’m
not the only one. This movie was good, but not as good as the first
one. It just wasn’t as cool.
There were some amazing fight sequences, enhanced by cutting edge
special effects, as in the last movie. I liked the new plot developments,
and I think some good things will happen in the third film. They
really filled out the cast in this movie. There were a lot more
people in this movie, but apart from the original cast members,
no one really stood out. I think the real talent in the movie lay
behind the scenes in the special effects, the set designs, the direction,
and the story line.
The Matrix will probably turn into one of those famous and classic
trilogy series…in fact I think it already is.
